TATE & Artist Rooms
“My most recent project was aimed at encouraging the public and young people to engage with the artwork of ‘Joseph Beuys’ and with The Worcester City Art Galley and Museum. Promoting and representing TATE, Artist rooms and Worcester Art Gallery through creating activities that related to the collections and artwork, building relationships through talks and creative workshops and creating special events.
13 Baxter College A level students from Kidderminster and 11 Dancefest dance students from Worcester participated in the project with the aim of inspiring them to engage with the artwork, gallery and raise the profile of the gallery to the public. The groups took part in workshops and activities planned and delivered by myself and other visiting artists at the gallery and their own venues over 6 months.
Building relationships with both groups through meetings, debates and discussion and with the funding bodies and museum staff we developed projects that resulted in a dance ‘flash mob’ in Worcester High Street with Dancefest and an art installation and private view by Baxter students at the The Worcester City Art Gallery.
Working with a local chocolate business 500 chocolate rose were designed and produced that were then handed out during these events to promote the project to the public.”

Mencap & Fancy Features
As ‘Regional Youth Project Coordinator’ for ‘The Mencap Young Ambassadors programme‘ I planned, collaborated and delivered an array of creative experiences and social actions projects with young people with a learning disability aged 16-25.
‘Fancy Features’ hand illustrated three canvasses that were coloured in by ‘Young Ambassadors’ from Mencap as a reflective experience on the achievements of the Young Ambassadors programme over the years.
